Athletics

On May 22nd and 23rd, CHSS hosted the Northwest Zone Track and Field Championship. Teams from across the Northwest participated in a wide variety of track and field events.  Thirteen teams from Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert, Lax Kw'alaams, Terrace, Smithers, and Houston all competed in their respective age groups (gr 8, junior, and senior).  

For the first time in their 110-year history, the Annunciation Knights took home the Northwest Zone banner. The grade 8 team consisted of 18 athletes and scored a whopping 324 points!

Next up is Track and Field provincials in Langley, where 8 students qualified from CHSS, PRMS, and Annunciation.
